Default Ele/Mesmer

ive decided to go E/M, and also decided to mainly be a nuker. So im basically wondering what i should put my attributes on(i know they should go mostly on fire, but how should i spread them out?)

Basically i need like a pattern or ratio to follow, please help cause im not good at figuring this stuff out for myself.

ive just started playing, so i was wondering that is it true you can change your attributes while in town? For example, can i take all them off of fire and put them on earth, or w/e?

You could just make a 7-Skill ele build and add Arcane Echo to spam the hell out of stuff.

He means that you can have 7 skills from either your Elementalist Attributes or your Meser Attributes, and add Arcane Echo at the end, which is a skill that you use, and the next spell that you cast will replace arcane echo for a certain amount of time, i advise you go to http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Se...arch=E/Me&go=1 It is a page with alot of different skill choices for Elementalist/Mesmers.

To answer your original question, if you're only using fire skills then 12 in fire 12 in energy storage. If you're using skills from another element as well as fire (maybe ward against foes from the earth line), or using skills from a mesmer attribute, you should probably be looking at a 12/10/8 split where the 12 is in fire and either 10 or 8 in estorage and 8 or 10 in the other attribute (depending which non-fire skills/attributes you're using and how much base energy you need), or a 12/11/6 or 12/9/9 split with the 12 in fire again. Basically, (nearly) always aim for 12 in your main damage line. Scale this down according to how many attribute points you have to spend at the level you're at.

Note that these are the unmodified points, before you go adding runes and headgear. Your 12/10/8 would more than likely read 14/11/9 in your skills window when you take the runes and headgear into account.

Yes you can change your attributes and skills around as much as you like in town. When you get far enough through the game you can also change your secondary profession in town, btw.

I'd recommend this build for almost any nm mission/quest: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:E/Me...H_Elementalist

Deep freeze to slow the uglies down, ausp inc for energy management, and then you can add a PvE-only skill like Lightbringer's gaze or Pain Inverter for the 8th slot. And I usually throw out fireball and put in Liquid Fire instead. That build is a very good damage dealer.
